Maybe he should have claimed he was a bin Laden

These same goons snapped my Powerbook in two last year and handed it back without an apology or offer of compensation—national security seems to take the onus off the goon squads, even the hired help that can’t get better-paying work. Ignorance loves power and ignores the Fourth Amendment.
Anyhow, I surprised that Barlow didn’t think of the obvious way to get off the hook: Just claim he was a member of the bin Laden family, mention the Carlyle Group and ask for the next plane out of town—it works all the time.]]>

And you didn’t sue TSA for breaking your notebook, did you?
When they came for the notebooks, I didn’t complain, since I wanted to replace mine anyway…

This is too cool!
iPods get people laid and can improve their memories, too! Mitch, the blog author, found out the following information about college kids and their iPods from Tony Fadell an iPod engineer at Apple. Tony has received a ton of mail…

Hi Mitch… Well whatyaknow! Just wish I had read this sooner. Sure, I might have read it but no doubt would have still had to find out the hard way, hard headed as I am. But no doubt that after having experienced the TSA treatment first hand upclose and personal, it does call into question who’s side are these guys on. I would say, aside from really bad strategic decisions early on by Rummy & Co. (The shame of Abu Grebe and Guantanamo; The suspension of Habeus Corpus just to name a few) The TSA, hands down, is a key factor of our defeat in the war on Terror. I’m convinced the only way to lose this war was on the home front. You have to give it to these guys running the show, that left to their own devices, that there was no one on the planet more adapt at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The TSA lost the key battle on the home front by systematic coordinated contempt in their harassment of the flying public so as to seem to have been planned stupid by design… If there was ever really anyway to lose this war of hearts and minds they have certainly found it. It is an incompetent agency which is a colossal unmitigated disaster. It should be disbanded immediately.
BTW Thanks for the nice Amazon selection.
