<![CDATA[Interesting to note that Bravo is webcasting its Queer Eye for the Straight Guy spin-off, Queer Eye for the Straight Girl, at the same time it will debut on the TV network. I can’t think of any other show that has done this.
The use of cable networks to rebroadcast broadcast network shows, like Fox’s 24 on fx or NBC programs on Bravo, is raising the profits for these shows. Simultaneous introduction of a cable program on the Web is representative of the growing importance of IP-based distribution. I’ll wager that within two years it will be normal for TV programs to be distributed to TiVo or Akimbo set top boxes, even before the program hits the air—for a fee.]]>
