<![CDATA[editorsweblog.org: Reader feedback… before a story is published:
On Poynter: California’s Ventura Country Star dives further into participatory journalism. The paper’s managing editor for new media and technology, John Moore, has started a blog on which he posts the decision-making process that the Star’s editors go through every day. Readers have the option of adding their own comments to the blog, virtually involving them in editorial meetings and giving them the possibility to influence the stories that they will be reading the following day.
Bold move. Someday, if papers want to survive, the readers’ ability to influence the direction of journalist research will be a key competitive advantage.]]>
