Scoble responds to John Dvorak’s column about Microsoft marketing sucking…..he starts by saying he agrees — but then launches into this strange paragraph defending microsoft by pointing out successful companies that don’t *advertise*…..Robert – advertising (as i’m sure you know) does not equate to marketing…..

Eric’s critique seems to get sharper as he points out that Microsoft has no VP of marketing. It does, however, have a Corporate VP of MSN Global Marketing, Corporate VP, MSN Global Sales and Marketing, Corporate VP and CFO, Sales, Marketing and Services Group, Corporate VP of Marketing, Mobile and Embedded Devices Division, Corporate VP, Sales, Marketing and Services of Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and myriad other marketers. But his point that Scoble’s response reaches too far is correct.]]>
